Five Projects of CHEC Win 2020-2021 Luban Prize for Construction Project
The China Construction Industry Association recently issued the Decision on Awarding the 2020-2021 Luban Prize for Construction Project (Overseas Projects) (Jian Xie [2022] No. 8). The Wharf Project of the CLP Hubco 2×660MW Coal-fired Power Generation Project in Pakistan, the Beira Fishing Pier Reconstruction Project in Mozambique and the PMB Bridge in Brunei were awarded the 2020 Luban Prize for Construction Project (overseas projects). The Abidjan Port Expansion Project in Cote d'Ivoire, and the Breakwater, Hydraulic Reclamation and Phase I Infrastructure Project of Colombo Port City in Sri Lanka were awarded the 2021 Luban Prize for Construction Project (overseas projects).

CHEC Attends World Symposium of Highway Tunnels
The 2022 World Symposium of Highway Tunnels was successfully held from March 29 to on April 1 in Medellín, Colombia. Bearing the themed ”Safe construction and development”, this Symposium consisted of 51 reports under 12 sub-topics. The participants discussed policy planning and technological innovation, system integration, safe construction, green and environmental protection among others. The project department of the Colombia Mar2 Highway, along with the Bogota Metro and Stock Representative Office, attended the Symposium.

CCCC Malaysia East Coast Rail Link Project Holds First TBM Launching Ceremony
The “Yunding No. 1” TBM Launching Ceremony was held at the entrance of the Yunding Tunnel of CCCC Malaysia East Coast Rail Link Project on April 1. Kong Qi - Vice President of CHEC and General Manager of the Project Department, Liu Jianming - Vice President of CHEC and Deputy General Manager of the Project Department, and Deng Bo - Deputy General Manager and chief engineer of the Project Department attended the launching ceremony and cut the ribbon for TBM.
